Servin up Some Home Cookin

Sorry Sports Nation but my adventures last week totally messed my posting ability up. But credit has to be given Andrew had a betters dream weekend 12-2 wtf and in true Ashton style I have to one up him this week. Check out my hard work this week and as always happy betting. And remember the NBA is back so now we can finally have something to watch in between Sundays.

Packers vs Lions PACKERS

Bam the Pack played on Thursday to start Thanksgiving off with a bang they definitely gave a Big Time Rush to the crowd as they passed circles around the Lions defense. We also saw the rivalry shed new blood as Suh of the Lion and Lee of the Packers are thrown out of the game due to some violent antics most famous Suh’s stomping of a Packers linemen after a block went high on his pads.

Dolphins vs Cowboys DOLPHINS

The Dolphins have been on a roll taking out teams who earlier in the season would have laugh when they walked into the Stadium but their recent strides in success has allowed the offense to keep a good scoring pace which gives the defense a break from trying stop high powered offenses that are throughout the league. Their lost to the Cowboys can be blamed on the 3 and out they had in the fourth quarter after being given the ball back with 4 and half minutes left this setup the cowboys for an easy field goal to win the game.

Ravens vs 49ers RAVENS

No brotherly love here The Harbaughs went at it the scrap of a game ended with the more complete team winning. the Ravens claimed the win due to their defensive prowess

Falcons vs Vikings FALCONS

The Falcons have proven throught the season they are a good team with pieces that work well together. Their inability to finish games are basically hindered them from taking first place in their division and becoming the best team in the NFL.

Browns vs Bengals BENGALS

This game is going to be a snoozer the fact is that the Bengals are the overall better team with one of the best defense in the league they truly let Andy Dalton take the risk that the offense needs to score and overcome teams such as the well versed Steelers and Ravens team that have proven to be tough customers throughout the year and that is why they will beat the broken and depleted Browns team even with the recent development of Peyton Hillis being a game time decision

Panthers vs Colts PANTHERS

Both of these teams throughout the season have proven to be consistent losers the Panthers are in every game they play with the combined efforts of Newton, Stewart, DeAngelo, and the always capable Steve Smith. The colts have not proven themselves to be anything more than a team that only Peyton can run. And until The Sherriff returns the AFC will belong to the Texans and the Colts will struggle

Texans vs Jaguars TEXANS

HAHAHAAHAH Sports fans if you haven’t figured it out by now you need to know I always pick the Texans to win. They are 7-3 both sides of the ball are clicking the defense literally shuts down any runner that shows up so MJD is a non factor, and their lack of a pass game will truly be their undoing. The Jaguars has proven their defense is the star of the show it doesn’t get much press but their LB core is the reason the Jags have won games. That being said it wont stop the return of Andre Johnson from being a huge factor, Texans win

Bills vs Jets JETS

The Bills find themselves losing three games in a row their ineffiency on the offensive side is stopping them from continuing their success they saw earlier in the season. While the Jets coming off a an embarrassing lost to the Mile High Messiah TIM TEBOW and the Denver Broncos, it has become very apparent to me that Rex Ryan’s method of forcing Mark Sanchez to turn into a QB is not a good method of getting wins he fold under the pressure not because he has no skill but because he is forced into situations not suited for him and he is not coached on how to work or reason his way back to his comfort zone. To my Point I don’t think the Bills could force Mark out of his comfort zone to make the Jets offense to unable to score

Cardinals vs Rams CARDINALS

This game has two interesting teams in the Cardinals coming of a win over the struggling but yet still stacked Eagles team. Yet the Rams have been on a roll winning games against the leagues mediocre teams. The surge of the Cardinals has convinced me that their team can come together when it counts.

Bears vs Raiders BEARS

The Bears are a legit team in my eyes they have fixed the offensive line issues and any blown coverage’s are basically covered by Jay Cutler’s avoidance skills that he gained while his offensive line was in shambles. Their run and pass game are deadly and can stand alone. Their defense is once again on the right path with Urlacher, Briggs and Tillman are playing like the NFL legends they are soon to be. Although Carson Palmer has definitely hit his stride as a Raider but his team is having run issues, and to beat the Bears you are going to have to keep up with the Bears offense.

Redskins vs Seahawks SEAHAWKS

This pick is merely off of their performance last year they allowed the best aspect of their team at running back in Marshawn Lynch to run rampant on their opponent similar to the game they used to eliminate the Saint in the playoffs. Both teams are struggling but The hawks have hit a stride and that is what is needed to win against a struggling Redskins team limping to the barn.

Patriots vs Eagles PATRIOTS

The Patriots as usual in any game they play they are the front runners, and this game is no different the fact is the Eagles are struggling with Vick although they won off some impressive performances by player every week they loose a key player. The Eagles need to turn the corner for a shot to make the playoffs but this game will not help with that goal.

Broncos vs Chargers BRONCOS

The MILE HIGH MESSIAH PAYS A VISIT TO MR RIVERS. The new look Broncos are definitely on the war path they’re looking for a shot at the big time, it may not be off of Tim Tebow’s arm but he delivers for his team. While once again the Chargers prove to be a big disappointment this year they have to fight to re-claim the top spot in their division and go to the playoffs. Im CALLING THE UPSET RIGHT NOW THE BRONCOS TAKE THIS ONE.

Steelers vs Chiefs

This seems to be another game for Big Ben to get his team another win and tune up the system and prep the team for the playoffs where they might find themselves in a rematch against the Texans they lost to earlier this season. While the Chiefs wander into the game after losing their start quarterback to a serious thumb injury. Their replacement did a pretty sweet job and won a game last week but the Chiefs as a whole are injury ridden and can only go so far. The Steelers will show them they cannot go past them

Giants vs Saints

For the first time in a long time Monday Night Football is going to be a good one he Giants are seriously in a struggle to win games as the division leading Cowboys have it in cruise control to the end of the season while they Giants find themselves facing a gauntlet of the NFL’s top teams. Their journey will be long, but it is possible. The Saints find themselves trying to keep the Falcons at bay until the end of season and fighting for higher seeding in the always weaker portion of the league in the NFC. Their pass and run have proven to be entirely too much for teams and I feel the Giants defense will put up a fight but not enough to truly stuff the Saints offense setting this up to be a true scrapper where whatever team can put together a great GAME will come out on top.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! In the spirit of everybody stuffing their faces with delicious food today (and for the rest of the weekend), how about I stuff Ashton's face with a 12-2 record last week? Oh wait, he didn't even submit his picks ಠ_ಠ. In that light, hopefully he'll be able to post his Week 12 picks before games start- otherwise, I'm gonna need to teach that boy a lesson in blog (and sports-picking) etiquette haha. Anyway, without further ado, here are the games:

Green Bay @ Detroit: Should be an awesome start to Thanksgiving football, with the Packers looking to remain undefeated with a suspicious defense. If the Lions were a respectable team on offense- the Saints, the Texans, or the 49ers this season- it would be a much more difficult matchup. As it is, the Lions have been falling off the past couple of weeks, and that decline will continue against Green Bay.
GREEN BAY

Miami @ Dallas: Continuing the excellent lineup of Thursday games, the Cowboys are looking to gain some confidence back after almost blowing a lead at Washington while the Dolphins look to continue a mid-season hot streak. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, their win streak of 3 is against the Chiefs, the Redskins, and a home game against the Bills. They'll be facing a respectable team in Dallas; don't expect Jerry Jones to be shown up at home on Thanksgiving Day.
DALLAS

San Francisco @ Baltimore: Yeah, everybody's been hyping this game up as the "Harbaugh Bowl"; brother versus brother on Thanksgiving Night, when the whole family should be coming together around the table. Even without the subtext, however, this is the game of the week- SF is 9-1, destroying the rest of the NFC West, while BAL is 7-3 and 'tied' with Pittsburgh for the lead in the difficult AFC North. In reality, the division difference will be the deciding factor- Baltimore has more and better experience in high-profile games, while this game could very well be the 49ers' toughest game all year. With more practice against top teams, the Ravens will win a nail-biter.
BALTIMORE

Minnesota @ Atlanta: The Vikings are weak, and even worse on the road. Atlanta, with the exception of some bad play-calling, is a very formidable team.
ATLANTA

Cleveland @ Cincinnati: It's the Battle of Ohio! Too bad the Browns are so far in the gutter of the AFC; otherwise, this could be a potentially thrilling game.
CINCINNATI

Carolina @ Indianapolis: Miami & Minnesota both got their wins. Indianapolis is the furthest in the AFC gutter; consider them locks to take the first pick of the 2012 draft.
CAROLINA

Houston @ Jacksonville: The Jaguars annoy me. On paper, they're an awful team; in reality, they don't look that much better. Even so, they managed to beat Baltimore in prime-time football, and have figured out a way to stay in most games. Even with Schaub being out for the year, I like the Texans to continue their winning ways (because they'll still be a better team than Jacksonville).
HOUSTON

Buffalo @ NY Jets: Fred Jackson is out for the year. Buffalo is 1-4 the last 5 games even with Jackson; the Jets are much healthier & Rex Ryan needs a solid division win to regain their footing to try & challenge the Patriots.
NY JETS

Arizona @ St. Louis: The Rams failed me last week, getting blown out at home against the Seahawks. I have no more faith in any St. Louis sport other than baseball, and that's only because I have to respect how well the Cardinals played at the end of this season.
ARIZONA

Tampa Bay @ Tennessee: This is the biggest coin flip of any match-up this week. The Bucs gave the Packers a run for their money last week, but neither team has proven it can win those 50/50 games & Tennessee has a) home-field advantage and b) a better overall record. Considering this game is at 1 pm with so many other good matchups, plan on either watching another game or simply another sport.
TENNESSEE

Chicago @ Oakland: Cutler is out, and Forte has only been averaging 3.1 yards per carry this season. Palmer has been getting better each week (unfortunately, as a Bengals fan I was hoping karma would carry over for while). It's somewhat surprising Oakland is leading the AFC West; solely by leading their division this late, they have to be taken seriously.
OAKLAND

Washington @ Seattle: The Redskins are reeling, especially after blowing a tight game against the rival Cowboys. Seattle is scary at home, and has plenty of ability on the field (just ask Baltimore).
SEATTLE

New England @ Philadelphia: The Eagles got a huge win against the Giants last week, but at the cost of losing Michael Vick. Do you really expect Vince Young to succeed against the Patriots where Mark Sanchez (who has tons more experience) and so many other quarterbacks have failed?
NEW ENGLAND

Denver @ San Diego: I'm hoping, for his sake, that Tim Tebow really is the 'Mile High Messiah'. San Diego hasn't been up to their usual games of playing awfully in the first half of the season & finishing strong in the second; they've just been bad all year long. This is going out on a bit of a limb, given the history between the two teams, but there's a real chance Denver will earn this win fair & square.
DENVER

Pittsburgh @ Kansas City: We all know the Chiefs are pretty bad. We also know the Steelers are pretty good. It's a pity this is the Sunday Night game; I would have much preferred to see the Patriots & the Eagles.
PITTSBURGH

NY Giants @ New Orleans: Drew Brees, is, once again, for real. The Giants are a respectable team, in a decent division, but how many teams have walked into the Superdome and beaten the Saints on their home field? (Answer: 7/28 teams since the start of the 2008 season, 0 so far this year). I'll take the 75% odds.
NEW ORLEANS

Its on like Donkey Kong

Yeah you read it right sports fans Drew and I both went 9-5 and now this week decides the top dog(ME!!!!!!!!!!!!). Amist all the Joe Pa contreversy the media forgot that thiers football this week, so were here to remind them. As usual Drew and I disagree on big surprise hahahah. LETS GET TO IT BEFORE I START PARTYING!!!!!!
CHARGERS VS RAIDERS (Chargers) Opening night for Thursday night football see the most volitile and dramatic division having two top competitors going at it. The recent arrival of Carson Palmer has not yield the fruits of the Raiders efforts have not bloomed, and proably wont. The Raiders D is well developed, and the wide reciever core has truly become well developed with Jacoby Ford and Darius Heyward-Bey leading the forefront but the it sad to say that the Chargers still out talent them and out excute them at all positions(except kicking). Im calling the skills of Vincent Jackson Antonio Gates and Phillip Rivers to come throught and beat the very stingy Radiers defense
PANTHERS VS TITANS(Panthers) The Titans have defintely soon a huge upswing in effectiveness on offense with the great QB Matt Hasslebeck being added to the fold althought Chris Johsonn has m been missing in action the team is stringing together very good wins. While on the other hand the new phenom in the NFL Cam Newton backs up all his talk bring a new swag to the panthers offense and really pumping up Steve Smith, and making DeAngelo and Stewarts jobs way easier. The Defense is well balanced with the tackle distribution being even amougnst the entire defense showing effectiveness Jon Beason better known as Jon Beaston holds down the run game and with a little help from the safties is great cover LB. I'm calling the Panthers
STEELERS VS BENGALS(Steelers)
Oh I proably just pissed off Drew but sorry man the Bengals offense and deffesne are defintely cliking the Bengals D at one point ranked number one are defintely not to be played with. Althought this is true the Steelers still bringing a balanced front on offense and defense thier lost to the ravens defeintely proves my thery they lost to a team whose skill level is throught the roof. Thier clutch rating has definitely dropped in my book after thier fall to the Ravens but they wont need to be clutch versus the Bengals.
CHIEFS VS BRONCOS(Broncos)
Yeah if no one else will do it I will Tebows skill level is not to where he can take over the team and win it for them but he sure as hell makes them get together and to work as a team, because thats how they're winning games combining rushing passing punt returns defense and turnovers thier coming at all fronts. Thier wins arent against the best teams in the league but when given the chance they take wins away. I beleive they'll get it together and overcome the Chiefs a very turbulent team known for inconsistency.
JAGS VS COLTS(Jags)
Hahahaah this game is a laugher but here goes you guys know im a Texans fan and that means im an AFC South guy so yeah I know a good bit about these teams. This game may seem like a crapper but the fact is im expecting a blowout the Jaguars defense stonewalls thier LB core is filled with previosu starters thier coordinator believes in a good pass rush and theyre are good at it for sure. The Colts as good as thier defense is thier offense struggles to keep pace and thats how they get beaten to a losing streak of NINE games and lead in the Suck for Luck sweepstakes.
COWBOYS VS BILLS(Bills)
This game was origianally a head scratcher and then I remembered three things 1) This little thing called the injury report Miles Austin is out bro sorry about the hammy and so is your team 2) Ryan Fitzpatrick the first Ivy League player to ever start an NFL game HAS THE POWER OF THE BEARD ON HIS SIDE!!!! 3) IM THE ASHTON IM NEVER STUMPED BILLS WIN MOVING ON
TEXANS VS BUCS (Texans)
Hahahah ok so heres my policy in case you didnt know this I believe the Texans will win until they lose, so yeah I always pick the hometown team. Especially against an opponent that lacks a pass rush giving Matt Schaub all day to go to work on the secondary. Even without Andre we still string together effective passing games because our run game is so powerful defense have to stay honest when we are in the I formation better know as our base formation hahah.
DOLPHINS VS REDSKINS(Dolphins)
Ok another battle between crap teams, ok the dolphins figured a little something out. It's called a balanced offense where reggie bush distracts the defense seetting up Matt Morre and Brandon Marshall for big gains and a win agaisnt the struggling Redskins
SAINTS VS FALCONS (Saints)
Ok this is defintely a good matchup between good offenses and decent defesnes. The fact is that the pass rush is the key to winning. So im going to go with the Saints effective offense and thier above average defense.
BEARS VS LIONS(Bears)
BROWNS VS RAMS(Rams)
EAGLES vs CARDINALS(Eagles)
RAVENS VS SEAHAWKS(Ravens)
49ERS VS GIANTS(Giants)
JETS VS PATRIOTS(Patriots)
PACKERS VS VIKINGS MNF(Packers)

Showdown Week!

Hey y'all, it looks like Ashton & I tied last week.. that means, after everything's said & done over the last three weeks, we're 1-1-1. Who will take the lead this week? THIS GUY. Why, might you ask? Because this time, there are no distractions- just a man studying his football. So without further ado, here are my picks for Week 10:

Oakland @ San Diego: The Chargers have proven historically that they're a second-half team. Well, the first half of the season is over, and Oakland is coming to town with one Carson Palmer who has been absolutely awful the last two games (karma's a bitch, Carson!). With both teams on losing streaks, you usually look to the team that needs the win more; San Diego needs to win to prove to the rest of the league that they're still an elite team.
SAN DIEGO

New Orleans @ Atlanta: Atlanta has three straight wins, but New Orleans has been the best team in the division for the last couple of years. Statistically, New Orleans is slightly better on offense across the board, but the teams are even defensively. To make the game more even, according to the injury reports it looks like the Saints are a little more banged up. For most Vegas books, this game is a straight up pick; in these cases, I have to side with the home field advantage (especially considering both teams are good enough to make the playoffs, where home-field advantage can be huge).
ATLANTA

Tennessee @ Carolina: Carolina is coming off a bye week, which will make a huge difference when the difference in defenses is less than 0.2% in yards per game allowed (358.2 to 358.6). Also, while Carolina allows more points than Tennessee, the Titans offense has been struggling while Cam Newton has been playing extremely well. Carolina has been inconsistent at home (only 3-2, the losses coming to GB and MIN), but against the average teams they've found a good rhythm. This will continue with a close win- but a win nonetheless- over Tennessee.
CAROLINA

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati: Both offensively and defensively, the Steelers are statistically better than the Bengals. Why, then, is Pittsburgh only 6-3 while the Bengals are a half game better at 6-2? Here's the answer: the Bengals play more conservative games, which result in Cedric Benson doing what he does best by pounding most defenses that they've faced. Another reason why the Steelers have been gaining more yards but have one more loss? Pittsburgh's turnover ratio is an abysmal -11. For comparison, the Bengals are +4 over the whole season, which leads to the assumption that Cincinnati will probably win the turnover battle by one or two. In a tight, ground-based game, this could make all the difference- especially when this match-up is part of a heated rivalry and where momentum could be the deciding factor.
CINCINNATI

St. Louis @ Cleveland: This game could set all sorts of records for the most boring NFL game this season (even more than Seattle @ Cleveland a few weeks ago). Peyton Hillis, the Browns' best player, is out for yet another game; the Madden Curse has officially claimed another victim. St. Louis, while much healthier, is still 1-7. I'm going to go with the team that has scored more points on average and given up fewer points on average, with the bonus of home-field advantage (for what it's worth).
CLEVELAND

Buffalo @ Dallas: These teams are as evenly matched as Atlanta & New Orleans.. only difference is, this is a decent AFC East team visiting a decent NFC East team. In the past month, the only real disappointment for Cowboys fans was the debacle at Philly (which they were supposed to lose anyway), so Dallas overall hasn't looked too bad. Really, the matchup comes down to this: Dallas is 3-1 at home, Buffalo is 1-2 on the road.
DALLAS

Jacksonville @ Indianapolis: Are you ready to hear a crazy statistic? Curtis Painter has a BETTER passer rating than Blaine Gabbert! This is probably the best chance for Indianapolis to get a win this season (home division game against the next-worst team in the division), and I can't imagine Indy fans will roll over if they blow this opportunity.
INDIANAPOLIS

Denver @ Kansas City: Tim Tebow is perhaps the luckiest quarterback in the NFL right now, with the comeback wins at Miami & at Oakland. However, he also looked terrible at home against a decent Detroit team, so the jury is still far from out as to whether Tebow will become the quarterback everybody expects (or wants) him to become. Meanwhile, Kansas City has just gotten blown out at home for the second time, 41-7 vs. BUF and now 31-3 vs. MIA. Guess what- after the BUF loss, they won their next home game over a bad Minnesota team. Arrowhead Stadium is still one of the toughest places to play in the NFL, and Denver is barely better than the Vikings.
KANSAS CITY

Washington @ Miami: Washington has lost its last three games, all against decent teams (@CAR, @BUF, vs SF). Miami, in its last three games, has lost two by 3 points each (while on the winless streak) and finally got their act together in blowing out KC. Really, the issue with the Dolphins appears to be converting 3rd downs, and the Redskins are allowing opponents to convert 1/3 of 3rd downs faced. Look to the Dolphins to get win #2 at home, and more quarterback issues in the near future for Washington.
MIAMI

Arizona @ Philadelphia: While Arizona has played a lot of teams close, those games were at home in the heat of the southwest. Philly has experience playing in slightly colder weather, and given the fact that the Eagles are hot, better athletes, and now have a drive to reach the top of the NFC East, expect this game to be somewhat of a blowout.
PHILADELPHIA

Houston @ Tampa Bay: Speaking of heat, the Texans are HOT. They're putting up 26 points per game, allowing less than 18 points per game, and Tampa Bay actually thinks Albert Haynesworth will have an impact this season. Even though this game is in Tampa Bay, I'm watching to see if Houston will put up 30 in a rout over Josh Freeman (who has more interceptions than touchdowns this season).
HOUSTON

Baltimore @ Seattle: Nothing to do here. If you're in Seattle, and were planning on going to the game, save your money and go skiing up in British Columbia instead. Then again, they play the game for a reason- if Baltimore falls asleep at halftime, the Seahawks might make a game of it. Probably not, though.
BALTIMORE

Detroit @ Chicago: Wow. A month ago, I would have dismissed this game- the Bears were looking pitiful, and Detroit was still undefeated. Fast forward to today, though, and it looks like teams have found chinks in the Lions' armor. There are a few reasons why I SHOULD go with the Lions: 1) They took the first match-up this season, with Calvin Johnson going wild at Ford Field, 2) Chicago HAS to be exhausted, having just played a game in London 2 weeks ago & played Monday Night Football at Philly this past week, and 3) Matthew Stafford has had a bye week to heal his ankle. However, I am sticking with the Bears. Why? 1) Home teams tend to have an advantage in division games, 2) Chicago WON those games in London and at Philly, and 3) Jahvid Best is still questionable. When Detroit was on their winning streak, it was because the Lions could rely on the run to keep defenses honest if they were ganging up on Megatron (Calvin Johnson); since Best has been injured, the running game hasn't been the same, and the Lions have suffered accordingly. Go with the home team, the hot team, and the (still) healthier team.
CHICAGO

New York Giants @ San Francisco: The Giants are a decent team, but haven't always performed when necessary. San Francisco is 7-1, and everything is running smoothly in the Bay Area right now. East coast teams tend to struggle when playing games on the west coast; expect that trend to continue, especially when the home 49ers is superior than the visiting Giants.
SAN FRANCISCO

New England @ New York Jets: Very few people expected the Giants to win in Foxborough. Fewer people expected the Patriots to lose that game plus the game two weeks ago at Pittsburgh. I cannot, for the life of me, see Tom Brady losing three games in a row, especially when the Patriots beat the Jets in Week 5 by more than a touchdown. The Jets are making a comeback, but I don't expect the current kings of the AFC East to give up their power.
NEW ENGLAND

Minnesota @ Green Bay: I expect, when the NFL was creating this schedule last year, that the fine people at ESPN were expecting Minnesota to be a much stronger team than they turned out to be (which is why MIN @ GB is a Monday Night Football game). Don't expect anything out of the ordinary here, Minnesota is a mediocre team and they're visiting the best team in the NFL right now. Another blowout by halftime.

I have shamed myself

Ok so apparently Drew beat me last week I was so pissed (Phillip Rivers!!!!!!!!) So lets right to it I'm here to redeem my name as The Ashton
Texans vs Browns(Texans)
If you havent figured it out my Texans are beast the Browns have a decent pass rush but thier weakness at linebacker will porve to be thier undoing as the will have to cover James Casey, Owen Daniles Arian Foster and our new friends Derrick Ward all dangerous threeats that will have the Browns deal wheeling backwards all game, and McCoy cant keep up with his ineffective recievers and seemingly fail oriented playbook. Oh and the most important factoid NO PEYTON HILLIS
Seahawks vs Cowboys( Cowgirls)
As much I laughed as they were manhandled by the Eagles thier defintly not a horrible team like the Seahawks the Dallas defense will detry Travaris and his injured abkle along with his limping team.
Bucs vs Saints(Saints)
The Bucs are a real well connected team thier fall to th bears was due to thier inablilty to minimize the mistakes that lead to thier lost to the Bears. They may have upset the Saints two weeks ago but the fact is that the SAints lern very quickly, and they will defintely come out looking to destroy the Bucs and even up the tie breaker.
49ers vs Redskins (49ers)
Ok so for those of us wh dont know the 9ers have been on a murder streak the skins D somehow doesnt match up with Alex smitha dn his well balanced pass and run offense, the Skins offensive tools have literlally been nullified as Hightower is out for the season and Rex Grossman has lost his groove thier excellent defense is litterally hungout to dry with the non productive offense.
Falcons vs Colts(Falcons)
As a Texans fan I love to see the Colts drown, so yeah when the falcons shred thier defense today it'll be oh so satisfying. The Colts offense as we all know is struggling mainly because of that missing guy...whats his name again, anyway but yeah the offense is crippled the skill level at reciever and RB is still there but the fact is they dont have anyne to deleiver the ball.
Jets vs Bills(Bills)
The Jets yes did upset the Chargers but thats what it was an upset the team still has many issues steming at the QB poisition, which will be under heavy pressure this game because of thier lack luster pass game the Bills excellent secodndary will be looking at a good day trying to pick off the QB in progress Mark Sanchez...maybe Rex will finally shut up....Nah proably not
Miami vs Chiefs(Chiefs)
Drew was right this team has finally figured out the issues on offense and theyre finally balanced in terms of reciever Ball and Bowe actually are playing to the par that Cassel needs to make his magic happen. Thier defense is filling the hole left by Eric Berry with great interception numbers
Bengals vs Titans(Bengals)
Broncos Raiders(Broncos)
Giants vs Patriots(Patriots)
Packers vs Chargers (Packers)
Rams vs Cardinals (Rams)
Ravens vs Steelers (Steelers)
Bears vs Eagles (Eagles) The team is back thier great pass rush and the struggling OL for the Bears will be under duress

Back On A Winning Streak!

So Ashton probably won't admit defeat, and he had a pretty good week, but 9-4 just doesn't compare to an 11-2 week. Sorry bud, but now that I'm back in a rhythm, it's tough to outpick your elder ;).

Now that I got my gloating out of the way, I can do a few sentences of analysis for each game. I would go into more detail, but company flew into town this weekend, so I'm busy hosting them.

New York Jets @ Buffalo: This will be a pretty close game (Buffalo is anywhere between a 1.5- 3 point favorite), but the fact remains that Buffalo's defense will hold up fine against a mediocre Jets offense while the Jets defense will struggle against one of the surprisingly good offenses this year. Never expected Ryan Fitzpatrick (a former Bengals backup) would be doing this much in the NFL, but props to him.
BUFFALO

Seattle @ Dallas: Do I even need to review this game? Dallas has a decent team, the reason they've been struggling so much is because they've had a relatively difficult schedule. The Cowboys ran over St. Louis, there's no reason they won't do the same at home to the Seahawks.
DALLAS

Cleveland @ Houston: Another no-brainer. Houston can still perform extremely well without one or two key offensive players- Andre Johnson and/or Arian Foster- and Cleveland is probably the third-worst team in the AFC, ahead of Indianapolis & Miami.
HOUSTON

Atlanta @ Indianapolis: Speaking of awful teams, Indianapolis without Peyton Manning is starting to be on par with the old Tampa Bay Buccaneers (their first two years in the league were abysmal). Atlanta, however, is only 1-2 on the road, and their only road win was a narrow 2 point win at Seattle. Atlanta currently is an 8 point favorite; I'm not confident Atlanta will cover the spread, but I'm less confident in the Colts' ability to score points & stop the run.
ATLANTA

Miami @ Kansas City: Kansas City is a respectable team. Miami is, for lack of a better phrase, pretty damn awful. I don't see Kansas City looking over any opponents, though, so this shouldn't be close at all.
KANSAS CITY

Tampa Bay @ New Orleans: New Orleans will bounce back from the embarrassment against St. Louis. Tampa Bay also is an awful road team (probably as bad as Atlanta), so Drew Brees will have a good time getting back on track.
NEW ORLEANS

San Francisco @ Washington: Washington is respectable this year, but San Fran is 6-1 with the one loss coming in OT. The football scene is heating up in the Bay Area, and San Francisco will keep the trend going with a win in the nation's capital.
SAN FRANCISCO

Denver @ Oakland: Tim Tebow has been exposed. It's a shame, because he's a great leader & a morally upstanding guy, but Carson Palmer + TJ Houshmanzadeh after a bye week will be too much.
OAKLAND

Cincinnati @ Tennessee: What happened to Chris Johnson? He's supposed to be one of the top 2-3 running backs in the league this year, but thanks to an atrocious offense, they haven't been able to capitalize on his abilities. Cincinnati has one of the most underrated defenses this year (mostly because nobody was expecting  the Bengals to be decent), and Cincinnati will improve their incredible season to 6-2 after beating down the Titans.
CINCINNATI

St. Louis @ Arizona: Both teams are awful. Both teams need a win. Difference is, since 2007 Arizona leads the head-to-head matchup 7-1. Stick with history.
ARIZONA

New York Giants @ New England: Giants are decent, but not great. New England just got beat up by the Steelers. You're sorely mistaken if you think Bill Belichick won't take his anger out on Eli Manning.
NEW ENGLAND

Green Bay @ San Diego: A lot of experts are predicting an upset here. I can't honestly figure out what they see, the Packers have no chinks in the armor and San Diego just lost a game they should have won at the Jets. Go with the team that's still undefeated, and still the reigning Super Bowl champions.
GREEN BAY

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh: REMATCH! This game will be fun to watch- it'll be hard-hitting, brash, and an old-fashioned game in the trenches. Baltimore did win the first round pretty badly, but Pittsburgh has looked better and better each week. I hate to do this again, but I see the Steelers barely making it through Sunday.
PITTSBURGH

Chicago @ Philadelphia: The Eagles are hot, and the Bears are pretty weak on the road. Philly looks like they're getting their act together, and who knows- they have a good chance of making a run and winning the NFC East.
